This splendid 18th cent. country house near Compton Dundon has extensive grounds, a games room and can sleep 16 people in eight bedrooms. Wootton House is a superb country house on a 1,000 acre estate on the edge of the unspoiled hamlet of Butleigh Wootton, on the Somerset levels. This striking house can sleep sixteen people in eight bedrooms, sharing six bath/shower rooms, four doubles; two with four poster beds and four twins. Comfortable, elegant and well loved, there are two reception rooms; a sitting room with a marble fireplace and a lovely drawing room with an open fire and French windows to the front garden. Overlooking the rear garden is a large formal dining room and there's a huge and well equipped kitchen. The Abbots Room, has table tennis, a children's snooker table, darts, TV and a PlayStation 2 ensuring that there's always plenty to do. Outside is a large mature garden with a croquet lawn, hard tennis court and climbing frames, slides and swings for the children. Accessed through a converted potting shed, you will find a changing room with benches, a shower room, a loo and a drinks fridge. Walk through into a glasshouse with comfy seating and a bar area, from here you can access the natural swim pool. With so much to see and do, Wootton House is sure to be a real hit with all the family. Note: Check in time 4pm. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
