Built in the early 1800s by William Maddox, founder of Porthmadog, Morfa Lodge was originally the old coach house & stable block for the nearby manor house and was on the map before Porthmadog itself as we know it! "An absolute gingerbread cottage, this former Coach House is full of charm and character, a five minute stroll to Porthmadog's harbour, bustling town and Welsh Highland Railway." With antique furniture (the dresser with intricate carvings in the sitting room are believed to be a dowry from 1806) & stunning woodwork, all hand built by the owner's father, a master carpenter, you will feel immersed in history. If you are looking for quirky, old and interesting then this is just the house for you! Just a five-minute walk from Porthmadog's harbour and bustling town with a selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and the Welsh Highland Railway, you will find plenty to do and see, whatever the weather!

Short drive to all local amenities. Note: This is an old property, quirky with wobbly walls & bags of character - may not suit people who enjoy the clean lines of modern properties. Note: Please be aware due to the age of the property, there house is on numerous levels and has the odd step or two internally. Note: Please note this property has a good housekeeping bond of £350. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
