The character, contemporary cottage is located near the town of Cockermouth in the Lake District and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.  Buttermere is a ground floor, eco-friendly cottage sleeping four people, with two double bedrooms – one amply sized with space for a wheelchair. It includes an open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area with electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer, as well as a wood-burning stove. Buttermere also boasts a beautiful outdoor terrace area equipped with furniture and private parking for one car. Sitting within ten acres of land, the cottage is surrounded by woodland, meadows and a pond with an abundance of wildlife on the doorstep. Buttermere Cottage is three miles from the towns of Cockermouth and Lorton, both filled with shops and restaurants, and just a six-mile drive from the quieter western lakes, including Ennerdale, winner of Britain's Best View. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
