Naturalists from all over the UK could soon be stripping off, after a full list of UK nudist beaches have been published on a popular website. 

Some of the beaches are well established, (and some of them are just for those in the know), but there are often a number of local regulations in place. Some state that swimwear is required to bathe, even though it's not required to be worn on the beach!

Usually, these beaches have little or no "facilities" (such as cafes or public W.Cs) and in general, will, for obvious reasons, be "tucked away" from the main resort areas and beaches.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service, naturists shouldn't be prosecuted unless they are involved in an offence other than public nudity, but the UK laws on public nudity and nude sunbathing is a rather grey area. In theory, it is perfectly legal as long as the general public are not harassed, alarmed or distressed.

The full UK list can be found on the Walking Club website, (you do have to enter a search on "nudist beach" to view), but we have listed a few below, nearby to our ETK Holiday Homes, should you feel the time has come for that "all-over-tan" this year.

Do be aware that most of these have specific areas for naturalists and may not include the "entire" beach area: and please do check for local notices on each beach, before you decide to strip off!
